DS is no longer in a car seat on the plane, and I'm looking for a comfortable travel pillow for him. Also, he did complain at the end of the 2 hour flight of his bottom hurting from sitting down. In nearly 5 years of taking the car seat on the plane, DS has never complained about being uncomfortable, and that includes 14+ hours to Australia. Sigh, I knew I was going to miss the car seat...he's just not as comfortable without it.

Piper is far less contained and comfortable on the plane without her seats. But she just uses the plane's pillows.

We do have a small pillow that is about that size. And when his bottom hurts, he can sit on it. Which is what I do on long haul flights. I am not looking forward to our next 14+ hour flight to my parents. He usually sleeps for 8+ hours in his car seat. He did great with sitting still, not playing with the seat belt etc, and it was nice to not lug the seat through the airport, but he won't be as comfortable. Sigh...

We bring a regular size bed pillow, that is pretty flat for our longer flights. I can just fold it in half and stick it in one of our big Lands End totes. We fly to Europe frequently and the pillow comes in very, very handy for all of us. We also use a Bucky jr which my daughter loves.
