Ok so i'm a very visial person and i need some pics of some good thin winter coats. Like the warm thin fleece type, i guess i just need to know what would be considered too thick. With my oldest i also just put the big poofy winter coat on her, well now i know better and need help.

Well I'm in Chicago and run into this same problem. I am using a zip up hoodie (made of regular Hanes sweatshirt type material, snug fitting). I also bought some really cozy warm mittens and winter hat (the kind with the ear flaps). Those don't interfere at all with the carseat, right? And when it's just plain horrid out I plan to cover him with a really thick plush blanket..on the way to the car and after strapping him in.

sry, I don't have any pics at the moment.

I'm in NH and what I do with my kids is buy fleece jackets/pullovers from Old Navy and then I have car seat ponchos if they need them. I have found that this works the best. Any thin fleece will do but Old Navy is cheapest.

I got a trail model fleece jacket and coveralls from LLBean for my littlest one. They are on the expensive side but if you can catch a good sale it's not too bad. It's a little thicker of a fleece but not to thick for car seat use and it's super, super warm. I'm waiting for another good sale so I can get them for my older kids as well.

If you sign up for lands end email, they're always having sales and free shipping. I'm sure other online stores do the same.
