Flying on Allegiant with two kids

We're going to California next month!!! Baby will be 9 months and big kid will be almost 7. Will our G3 Marathon fit, or should I buy a Next? Allegiant says that their seats are super small. The other option is to use her SR30, but then I'd be stuck doing a baseless install multiple times each...

Guide 65 front to back space

Anyone know what it's comparable to? I need it to fit RF in the 3rd row of an '02 MPV. Seats that I know fit are Britax convertibles and a Radian with an angle adjuster. Sureride doesn't fit. I'm wondering if it's worth going for a drive to a store where I can try a Guide.

    Which seat for road trip

We are going to Seattle this weekend!! The drive is about 3 hours each way. Which seat should I put DD in? Options are a FrontierXT, Nautilus, Truefit, or G3 Marathon. She says the "lean back seat", aka truefit is the best if she's sleeping. My concern is a seatbelt install on leather with that...

    Britax UPCs

Are people still looking for these? I remember people were looking for them to send in for something a while back. Not sure if that's still on. I bought a B-Ready and some accessories from the US so I have the American UPCs.

    B-Ready and Amazon questions

    1) Does the B-Ready stand up when folded? I'm thisclose to buying one but I just want to make sure it's not like the stroller I have now that tried to jump out the back as I'm closing the hatch on my MPV. I don't mind taking seats off if it makes it fold better/smaller. 2) Any opinions on the...

    MPV 3rd row top tether

It is offset from the middle and I was under the impression from other threads that it was only useable for the center seat. Well I just went out with a tape measure and it appears to be only 15 degrees from the driver's side seat. So my question is: Is my TA in the right spot? It was there...

    Van shopping

My car is old and tiny. Next month I have a second daycare kid starting so I need something bigger. Might as well get a minivan! Option #1: Find a 2003 Caravan or similar for under $1500 on Craigslist and take our chances. This means using our 'safety net' and replacing it once we sell my car...

    Best boosters for skinny kids

I know that I'm planning way in advance but I want to know what I should be looking for sales on. When DD turns 5 next spring I will start booster training her so that it's easier to go to Gramma's house, with friends, etc. The highback turbo will work fine but I'd prefer something a little less...

Best prices on Beco or other SSC

My SIL wants to buy her friend a good baby carrier and asked me for advice. I think the Beco that comes with the infant insert (butterfly 2?) would be a good choice but she's open to suggestions. Budget is around $100 but can go a little higher if needed.

    Flying to Scotland

My friend is flying to Scotland in May with her 2 kids and has asked for input on what to do about seats there. They won't be renting a car and will only be taking a few day trips. She found this service http://www.kids-cabs.co.uk/ has anyone heard of it? It actually looks like it might be a...

    Britax expiry not on seat

I just had someone ask me about the lifespan of her new Marathon. She couldn't find the expiry on her seat so I looked on mine and sure enough it's not there. Are we both just totally missing it or is Britax not putting the expiry on the seat?

    Would I love the B-Ready

I need a new stroller. Currently I have a cheapy instep jogger that actually has a decent push but the canopy is useless. It works fine but it it only a single and when we're out and it starts to lightly rain, the daycare baby gets wet. My other stroller I absolutely hate, a babytrend double...

    Side facing seats

Does anyone have any links as to why vehicle seats that face the middle aren't safe? Not just for children, but for adults as well. I did find this http://www.voea.vic.edu.au/publications/journeys/sideways_seats_brookes.html but is there anything else?
