3 across/Radian install in Kia Sorento

Does anyone here have a Radian installed RFing in the center of a Kia Sorento (mine is a 2006 but they didn't change much over the years before and after that). It has the mini-buckle in the center, and it's a bit long so I'm wondering about ease of installation. DS rides in a Nauti and DD1...

Input please - does my SS1 harness/cover match?

I feel really dumb asking, but want some opinions. I bought a French Roast SS1 when they were on sale in the late fall, and left it in the box. I also bought a gorgeous Jenny cover set off Ebay, thinking the harness was grey on the FR SS1. I took the FR out of the box last night and the...

ISO: Grey or Black SS1 Replacement Harness

I bought a gorgeous Jenny cover for my SS1 (brand new French Roast) and tonight I took my SS1 out of the box and the pukey brown/grey harness does NOT match the Jenny cover at all. :( I was wondering if anyone has a Grey or Black SS1 replacement harness that they would like to sell me or even...

In Search Of Girly SS1 Cover

They apparently don't sell girly SS1s here, at least not standalone and I didn't want/need a travel system. So I've got a brand new French Roast SS1 and found out I'm having a girl. So I'm hoping someone has a girly SS1 cover they are willing to sell (or trade, or partial trade for the French...

    Apex in a Caravan

A coworker of mine bought 2 Apexes for her DSs. She has them installed with the headrests removed, and for now it's okay because her DSs are both short enough that the tops of their ears are well below the top of the vehicle seat. However she showed me the headrests and they tilt forward a...

    True fit incompatibility?

I got the True Fit for DS a week ago and finally installed it yesterday. He's 27lbs in just a diaper so I bought the only seat in Canada that can RF higher than 30lbs. When I first installed it directly on the seat, the harness adjuster was so far down that I couldn't loosen it because once I...

    FFing recline question

On Britax's website, it says the RA, MA and Blvd can be reclined FF'ing. I had thought the recline was only for RF'ing. The one time I had left my MA reclined, it wouldn't install at all FFing. Why is this okay, and is it safe to recline your vehicle seat back to install the seat reclined?

SS1 compatible with Peg Perego P3 stroller?

I'm planning ahead, but really have my mind set on getting a SS1 with the next baby (currently TTC). I've got a Peg Perego Pliko P3 stroller and want to know if it's compatible. I've got the accessory bag which contains adapter pieces/strap for other brands of car seats but would like to hear it...

    All-in-One car seat stroller

I just got back from a vacation where I flew, and as always, I peruse the Sky Mall catalogue because I get a kick out of the neat gadgets in it. One of them is an AIO car seat stroller (I actually saw 2 in use at the airports), but I've never heard them talked about here. Has anyone seen one...

Wish me luck! Approaching parent with horribly installed carseat

My friends are having a big cookout today, and last night I met a couple they are friends with. They have a 13mo DS who is FFing in an EFTA, that I peeked in, and saw it installed in the center of their 2008 Jeep Liberty, using what I am assuming are the 2 outboard UAS/LATCH anchors (not sure if...

EFTA Chest Clip makes me uneasy

Three separate times, I've gone to get DS out of the EFTA and the chest clip is slightly unbuckled  (not enough to come open completely, but definitely unbuckled). I am certain I am buckling it when I put him in it. The chest clip also seems loose when it's buckled, like if I wiggle the...

I just sold my Radian - am I going to regret it?

I just sold my Radian this morning because we barely use it (it's been a spare for my DH's car which we are never in). It fits poorly on the school bus, my DS is uncomfortable in it and cries when I've put him in it, and it installs poorly in my Mazda MPV which has very forward seat belts. It...

Ideas for travelling alone with 2 kids by plane

I am going to Cleveland in July for 2 weeks, likely without my DH, just me and my 2 kids. It will cost me another seat ($550ish) to get my DS his own seat, but I am more concerned with how I am going to manage 2 kids, all our luggage and a carseat through 2 busy airports (no direct flights to...

    Rear-facing on a school bus!

After trying the Radian and the Evenflo Triumph Advance (neither fit rear-facing on the bus), I tried my Marathon and it fit! I had my DS FF'ing in the Radian for a couple weeks but he hated it (too upright), so I had ordered the EFTA for the comfiness. It arrived yesterday and the tether...

    Crash test video needed

If anyone has a crash test video link of a child in a high-back booster, or even an adult, with the shoulder belt behind their backs (so just the lap belt), can you please share the link? I just had a conversation with someone who said her DH taught her 40 lb 4 year old to put the shoulder belt...

    Carseat on a school bus

I am applying to drive school bus, and even though I'm a tech, I have no idea about car seats on school buses. My DS is 22 lbs and 14.5 mos and rear-faces in my van. The bus lines will install a tether anchor and seat belt on the bus for his car seat, and I don't know whether to ff or rf him...
