Sureride and Guide 65 Third Row Grand Caravan

Needing help with a rental car situation. Can the Guide 65 and Sureride fit in the 3rd row of the Town and Country/Grand Caravan one rear facing and one forward? Doesn't matter which seat is forward facing or which is rear. Needing to fit 4 adults and 2 kids in car seats. Posted via Mobile Device

Rear facing seat for 35" 27lb 2.5 year old

After an accident this morning I am looking for a seat to continue rear facing my 35" 27lb 2.5 year old. I'd like to keep him rear facing until 4. What are my options with decent legroom?

    Anyone flown with a NextFit?

We are doing a cross country flight on Thanksgiving. I flew with my almost 2 year old last month and FF him in a Easy Fit 65 and a Sureride but there just wasn't enough recline for him and the buckle made him upset the whole flight. This flight will be twice as long and we're hoping he can get a...

Foonf and plus one seat in Ody

We got a 2014 Odyssey this weekend and I am wondering about using the Foonf in the plus one seat. Both my kids are RFing in Foonfs and having 2 RFing Foonfs outboard in the 2nd row makes getting to the back a bit difficult. I installed using a seat belt on the plus one and the ARB is almost the...

    Outgrowing Foonf FF?

I'm wondering what the average age a kiddo outgrows the Foonf FF would be? My DS will be 4 next week and is about 40", and has been for quite some time now. He is still happily RFing in his Foonf. I bought a FR90 and Recaro Prosport and also a Harmony Defender for him to FF in as I promised DH...

Recaro Performance Sport or Frontier 90?

I'm trying to plan for DS1's next seat. DH is pretty set on turning him when he turns 4 in a few months. I'm planning to wait until he asks but I am also trying to keep an eye out for deals on seats for him. There's a deal on the Performance Sport that makes it about $155 for me right now. I...

    RSTV fit check

ETA: Never mind. Since it is illegal there's no reason to check the fit. :) Does this look ok? Also if anyone has any experience with both the RSTV 2 and 3, we ordered the RSTV 2 and it was HUGE on him. It almost had to be wrapped around him twice. So I sent it back and ordered the RSTV 3...

    Guide 65 RFing ?

I read the manual and I think I'm seeing it is outgrown RFing at 40" standing height or when the top of the head reaches the top of the headrest. So the headrest can be fully extended and as long as the top of the head hasn't reached the top of the headrest we haven't outgrown it right?

    RSTV Situations?

We are planning to get an RSTV for DS1 for an upcoming cruise. We will be taxiing from the airport to hotel to port and back again. We don't plan to do any car travel on excursions off the ship since we will also have DS2 and I don't want to bring his car seat off the boat at every port. We are...

    Foonf Seat belt install help!!!

This is our first seat belt install. It has proven to be quite a stressful thing for us. Getting the belt between the 4 guides is pretty much impossible. The seat belt slides down out of the top guide and I have to push it back up into the bottom guide. On the side where the seat belt is fed in...

What seat next for travel after RFing seat?

Since BRU is having their trade in event soon and I have an old Safeseat to trade in I'd like to get a new travel seat for my DS1. He is currently RFing in the Sureride for travel but we'll be passing that down to my youngest when he outgrows the CCO. What do people get as a lightweight, FF...

    Changes to RSTV?

Looking at a 09/2009 model GD10101BWB. Are there many differences between this one and the newer ones? It would be for a 34lb 39" child.

What do you do when DC is near weight limit of the seat?

I just picked up a classic RA50 and I'm hoping we can use it for a travel seat for my DS1 next month. I just checked his stats and he is just about 39" and just under 34lbs fully clothed and full belly. I know the weight limit for RF in the RA50 is 35lbs. When your DC is that close to the weight...

Any updates from those who had problems with Sureride harness forward facing?

Any one hear back from Evenflo? My DS1 is just about 39" and we have found ourselves in need of another travel seat. I wasn't planning to FF him in the Sureride because I was worried about the harness issues so just wondering if there was any more info out there about the issue.

Occasional use seat for 38" 33lb 3.5 year old

I am hoping to find something that I can use RF for a little bit longer and then use forward facing until booster age. It is for the grandparents car who we only visit about once a year. DS1 is still RF in all vehicles he rides in and we'd be using it in a month in the midwest in snow and again...

    New NextFit Fashion

Pulse Red and grey available at BRU. When I was there yesterday they seemed to be clearing out the Infiniti. The floor model was $209.99. Pulse looks super soft. I didn't see it out at mine yet. http://www.chiccousa.com/nextfit/fashions.aspx

    Would you use the Sureride?

So the thread about the harness coming off the splitter plate when the Sureride is forward facing made me pretty nervous. We had just used a Sureride rear facing for travel and I ended up returning it after people started reporting having their harness come off the splitter plate. I explained...

Checking a seat in a suitcase?

Would it be ok to pack a convertible in a suitcase and check it? We always buy our DC seats on the plane and they use car seats every time. But I am thinking about flying on a 2 hour flight alone with my 3 year old and my 1 year old. We are probably flying with the Foonf for the 3yo and the...

Removing CCO infant insert fit question

I know there have been quite a few threads about removing the newer style infant insert in the CCO before kiddos are 25lbs. DS2 is 9 months and has started to get really upset every time we put him in the seat. I know it could be a phase and he may do it in whatever seat we put him in, but I was...
