    Preventing Unbuckling

We have 3 across in my husband’s 2019 Camry. 2 in backless boosters and 1 FF. Currently, the FF one is behind the passenger so that the big kids don’t unbuckle the seat by accident. But the older 2 fight a lot and he really wants to put the carseat in the middle. If the FF one is in the middle...

Options for Small Almost 6 Year Old

My youngest is 5.5, 42“, but only 36 pounds. She is currently FF in a 5 pt harness. We are traveling this summer, which will include flying and a rental car. She will be 2 weeks shy of 6 at that point, but still under 40 pounds unless she hits a major growth spurt. I was really hoping to put her...

    3 Across 2010 Civic RF/FF/RF

I spent a very frustrating morning trying to get 3 across our 2010 Civic. Is my only option just to buy a couple of Radians? Every thing I found in the successful 3 across thread had at least 1 radian. But from what I have read about the Radian, I think I am going to hate it. Any other ideas...

    SR30 Plane Installation

We will be flying soon and want to take DD's Snugride 30. Last time I flew with the seat, I had a terrible time installing it on the plane. When I pulled it tight, the buckle wanted to be right in the belt guides on top of the seat. Is there anything I can do if that happens again?

    Best Convertible for Forward Facing

DS is currently rear facing in a couple of MyRide 65's. He is 34 months and has about 4 inches of shell left, but we intend to flip him by 4 even if he hasn't outgrown the seat. We have really liked the seats, but I keep reading that most kids don't like them for forward facing. DD is getting...

Flying with 2 Carseats, 1 Adult

I am trying to figure out the logistics of a cross-country move for our family. Would it be allowed/safe for me to fly by myself with 2 kids in car seats? Kids are 6 months and 2.5. The largest plane that flies into our local airport is 2 aisle 2. So it would be DD, me, aisle, stranger, DS. I...

    Checking for Movement

I have only ever installed car seats with latch, but tried seatbelt installs today because I was trying to fit myself in the back with the kids for a long car trip. After a lot of effort, I finally thought I got them installed. I pushed the seats back and forth near the belt path and they barely...

    Sureride Buckle Sticking?

We have a Sureride that has been our spare/travel seat. I just started using it as a primary seat, and the buckle is annoying me. I press down on the button and the right side pops open, but it have to jiggle and use 2 hands to get the left side open. Is there a learning curve to these buckles...

2 and 3 Year Olds in Boosters?

I went to a car seat check this weekend. (All of our seats were installed correctly. Yay!) But they gave me some flyers to read. One of them addresses what to do if your car seat is outgrown before your child is 4: Most 2-year-olds and many 3-year-olds are too immature to sit still in a booster...

    Graco Recall and Seat Check

We are expecting #2 in about 6 weeks and are going to use the Snugride 30 we used with DS. We never managed to install the SR30 ourselves. We met with a car seat tech and she installed the base and we never moved it until DS was done with it. So I really want to go to a seat check event coming...

    Washing MR65 Seat Cover

So there was an incident with some Cheerios, and DS's carseat is covered in crumbs. So I want to wash the cover. How do I get it off? There is something adhering it to the bottom of the seat. The manual just says to undo the button clips down there. But I don't see how to actually undo anything...

    Easy to Install Travel Seat

We are going to be traveling this summer with 15 month old DS. He is currently RF in a MR65, but we don't want to lug that around. So we are looking for something to install on the plane and in a rental car. I don't know what model the plane is but it is 2 on each side of the plane, so a smaller...
