Complete Air SE

I was lurking around on Amazon and found [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Safety-1st-Complete-Convertible-Seat/dp/B00313JBKI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1262203511&sr=8-3"]this[/ame].

It's the spiral cover for the Complete Air that carseatblog reported on from the ABC show. Price is $279.

It looks from more looking around that the old style Complete Air will be $219 now and the new style with the base and 4-position recline known as the Complete Air LX will be $249 and then this Special Edition cover will be $279.

I love the SE cover, but I don't think I could pay that much for a glorified Avenue. :)

Artsy-cool.

Yeah, there's one model at BRU (Harvest?) for 199, one for 219. They both used to be 249. Sales of all those Safety1sts must be a bit slow, the AOE's started out at 169 and are now 159, the Eddie Bauer (same style that IIHS displayed all over as a terrible belt fit) went from 189 to 179.

I like the cover, except I wish it came in more colors... different solid colors, all with that cool pattern.

anyway, it's a horrid thing, linking to amazon, as I was then tempted to read reviews of seats... and one can only take so much of people and their rave reviews for the boosters they bought for their 3yr olds who had been in Britax Marathons before that.

I'm not a big fan of the Complete Air, especially since it's so expensive. But that is like comparing a Roundabout to a Boulevard I think ;)

So true. I can't help it though. I have an Avenue and when I see pics of the Complete Air it just looks like an Avenue with a bobbly headrest attached to it. Now that you mention it about the Roundabout and Boulevard... ;)

I like the idea of other colors with the same pattern! Maybe Coccoro will come out with a swirling pattern in 1,000 colors. :)
