O.K. so I know they're not and NO, they didn't wear them in their seat, but aren't they cute?! The middle should resize soon if it hasn't yet. You can see my belly in that one crammed into my CPST shirt.

We're driving all over this year (usually just stay in one area) so I decided on wings & a tutu -- she takes them off herself & puts them back on over regular clothes :) The magic light up wand will be the problem, LOL

So cute!! :D

My oldest is going to be a princess in a long blue velvety dress with big collar, gold brocade, pearls, and a hoop skirt. Definitely not carseat friendly with the long hoop skirt. DD wouldn't consider any other costumes once she spotted the princess one at Target. Thank goodness it was on sale and she has a younger sister to pass it down or play dress up. I bought a pink 18-month size Minny mouse fleece outfit with ears and tail on clearance last year and found it in the closet yesterday, just in time for DD2 to wear this Halloween. :)

Here's DD1 in her princess costume:

What a beautiful gown! Now you'll have to take her to some Ren Faires where she can get more than just Halloween use out of it. ;) :D

Jean, that is soo pretty!

My dd is going to be tigger. She is going trick or treating with about 5 princesses LOL. They all had on their costumes the other day at my friends house, and she was going up and growling at them and they were chasing her. It was just about the funniest thing I have ever seen, and I got it all on tape too!

Grandma is supposed to be making Joyjoy a Cinderella dress, but she said something about wanting to keep in in the costume closet (yes, we have an actual costume closet....) so nothing would happen to it, but IMO that defeats the purpose. I want something that can go in the dress-up bin.

Ohh, I love seeing kids' Halloween costumes! Do you think my son will ever forgive me for dressing him as chicken this year?!? HAHA Please ignore the Yankee Candle, I knew better than to take it away if I wanted to get some decent pics... LOL

Tiffany, I guess I got lucky since I won't have to take her in the car to go trick or treating (if I did, I wouldn't have gotten the fluffy tigger costume lol). All her friends are coming to my neighborhood this year to trick or treat.

Colleen, I LOVE the chicken costume! That is adorable!

Halloween costumes are so cute! We have never really trick or treated before, but if baby isn't here by Tuesday, we'll probably go w/ the cousins (they came to the mall w/ us too) in their neighborhood since people actually hand out candy there. We try to do it here and there's just not enough kids who come around here anymore w/ the mall having their things and the nicer neighborhoods etc.

Jennifer,
I didn't see it was you posting the first message at first, and I was like "OH NO, those will never go in a carseat" Then I noticed it was you and was ROFL! That was a cute post!!!

Colleen,
That is soo cute, someday he will be like "gosh mom what were you thinking??"

Jean, Her dress is beautiful!!! Glad to hear you will be able to pass down. Costumes are sooo expensive nowdays!! I would have loved to homemake one, but I am not the sewing, crafty type! LOL :)

Boys aren't boring at all - they can come up with some rather intersting costumes. lol
CJ wants to be Adam from Mythbusters and Gregory wants to be a pumpkin-headed ghost.:p
