Not shipping until mid-January. :(

I was hoping for December to play it safe in terms of making sure they will work for 3 across in DH's car. I need to find someone locally with a couple Radians for me to play with ahead of time I guess!

I'll PM you next time I'm in the area.

"The head support is adjustable, and is independent of the harness system which adds additional safety."

Hmmm wonder how that works. I want to get 2 of these so bad!!!

OH I LOVE THE LOOK OF THEM AND THAT SIP better than the older ones, but darn it! MId january! I need them by winter!! UGHHHHHHH
And for almost 300.00 I rather spend the 199

Yeah, I'm not in love with that price either.
I love the new head support wings, but I think I might just have to get another Radian 65 when the time comes (of course one that has the improvments).

I wonder if the top harness height will be the same on the XT as the 65/80? I'm loving that Malibu floral! Maybe I can talk DD out of her Red Rock Frontier to give to her brother, and we can get the Malibu XT for her :D

so basically they changed the girly cover from the light pink princess to the hot pink malibu and eliminated the tan color for the red and black. i'm not sure about the price i'll have to see one in real life.

Thats just on the XT, they will probably still have the same covers for the 65 and 80.

But wait...January. Ugh.

Well, at least this gives me time to save up :D

DH is happy to let me get two of these, and move our old Radians to his Passat.

I guess *we* can say we really like the Radians

ETA: $279!

I really like it, but I'm not sure I'm willing to drop $279 on a convertible seat for a six-year-old. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm not! But if either of my Radians need to be replaced for any reason, I'll want it.

I really want one of these. I need another seat for Adam and my niece would be able to use it when she is with me. Plus, I like how narrow the Radian is. I am not sure I can pay that for a convertible though. My husband would not be thrilled. I will probably just get a 65. When will they begin selling them with the updates?

This is funny because my husband and I were looking at car seats today and our only complaint about the radian was the lack of side impact protection... and then I come home and find this. I'm not sure he'll think it's worth $80 more though.

I was reading on that blog about the new radians being updated with a removable harness system. What's the purpose of this? This doesn't mean it will be able to be used as a high back booster does it?

Research kills me... just when I think I've made a decision.

The removable harness system means it will be possible for the consumer to replace the Radian's harness, not that it will be possible to use the Radian as a belt positioning booster seat. The current Radian models have harnesses that are bolted to the seat and cannot be replaced by the consumer.
