And is it an alright car now? I thought I read something about the '06 and newer being not very good for car seat installs... And the '12 looks like it was redesigned...So does it still suck? I don't want to waste time testing it out and looking at it if it's not good. :p

I searched around the forum but couldn't come up with anything.

Thanks!!! :2thumbsup::2thumbsup::2thumbsup:

The 02 - 06 is this body style and SUCKS for car seats (and also has some really horrifying air conditioning problems):

The 07 - 11 is this body style:

It can be a little challenging, I find it really lacks head room for loading and unloading older RF'ers, and is a little tough for the Radian, but otherwise not bad at all for car seats.

And the '12 is new, I don't really know much about it yet but the blog did a review: http://carseatblog.com/15169/all-new-2012-honda-cr-v-review/

I have a total love/hate relationship with my '04 CRV. On one hand, it's been very easy to maintain overall, it's quite safe (given it's age), and it performs beautifully both on- and off- road. (The off-road was a total accident. We were trying to avoid a traffic problem on the interstate while passing through West Virginia. Our GPS thought that quad trail was a named road...) :eek:

OTOH, the only seating position that is decent for car seats is passenger side outboard. And we had the aforementioned air conditioner "problem." Um, yeah, the issue is that the air conditioner motor (? I think it is) basically blows up and spews shrapnel throughout the entire system, taking the entire.freaking.thing out. We got stuck with a $3,000 repair bill last summer. Since it was their problem, though, Honda was *nice* enough to foot part of the tab, so we *only* had to pay $1200. Fantastic. Oh, and I recently got a recall notice stating that the driver's side airbag inflator can malfunction and cause metal bits to go through the air bag, possibly maiming or killing the occupants. Fun times.

I think my next car will not be a Honda. :rolleyes:

It's the compressor, but yeah that's the general gist. My husband was a Honda dealership tech for 10 years - they call it black death lol. I'm surprised Honda did a partial goodwill warranty for you - even though it's a very known problem (and it's also not uncommon for it to happen a 2nd or 3rd time even after the repairs are done) they usually just tell you too bad so sad here's the bill!

Ah, the compressor. Gotcha. And, yeah, I'd heard that it can happen again. :mad: Given that we live in south Texas, we need the a/c. I will be highly PO'd if it happens again. We shall see...

Black Death is a good name for it!
