Sunshine Kids Monterey Booster Car Steat - Monterey Pink

Just came across this thread- is it possible that a child can be too small for the Monterey?

I just checked and my TB's were measuring about 13 inches deep, while the Air Booster was around 14 inches deep, so yeah, it's going to fit "bigger" kids better.

I wouldn't rule it out though. My teeny-tiny dd has LONG femurs. Like, longer than her BFF Alexia's:

Just wanted to clarify - the little girl on the right has a longer femur than the taller girl on the left!

I'm so glad it's not SCREAMING PINK!

Not that I'm planning on getting one for dd, but I just can't STAND pink, and this is a nice compromise - dd could have her *squeak squeak princess pony glitter fairy squeak!* carseat and I could not puke every time I turned around in my car. ;)

It looks like elephant ears. :p I am so not a fan of pink... which is probably why I have boys. ;)

The red/black is going to look great in my new van. :D

Sometimes Fate needs a laugh... which is why I had 3 boys and then a girl. ;)

She was SUPPOSED to be a boy! A little boy named Quincy! :D But I am over that tantrum now (for the most part... except for pink carseats...) And I have learned that little girls do have their own charm!

Debbie, I have to know- how do you pronounce your dd's name? I love your kids' names (esp. Fighter :love) but I need to know how to say your dd's name, so that I can love it correctly, LOL!!

Oh thanks! It's Mah-kah. She's named after an Irish goddess. :D

(And Fighter is technically Patrick, but he decided when he was 3.5 that was "Fighter," because he "helps people, like a knight.")

LOL, thanks Gypsy and Debbie. Great name!! Patrick is nice, too, but I just love Fighter :D

On topic- the Pink is nice, reminds me of our Blush Vivo Lite. But we'll be getting the red. That's a nice-looking booster!

I was just wondering if you can use this w/out latch?

I don't think we know that yet - no manuals out yet! But I believe you can use the other booster (the Clek?) without LATCH, so hopefully this one will be the same.

I'd actually be really disappointed if LATCH were required for this booster. It limits its useability and increases the chance of misuse.

I've been told it can be used with OR without... the manual will give us the final word when it comes out.

Do you think this will be better than the Monarch? I am looking at getting dd a new booster next yr when she turns 8, hopefully she will be putting on some weight, she only weighs 44lbs.

Hard to say... since it's not out yet.

My personal feeling is yes, simply because I can LATCH this booster in the vehicle and never need to worry about buckling up unoccupied boosters (which I frequently forget to do with the Parkway).

Otherwise, there's really no way to compare the two just yet.
