WWYD, move seats 3x/week or new seat with no re-thread harness??

I just got a new nannying job that is FT and the kids are 16 months and 3. My plan is to put the 3 yo in the FR 90 outboard behind passenger and the 16 mo RF in a Radian outboard behind the driver BUT I have another family that I have recently started doing daycare pick up for 2-3x/week and I will continue to do so with my new FT job since I will get off in time to get the other kiddos from daycare. The daycare kids are 8 months and almost 3. The almost 3 year old can just ride in the FR 90 and the 8 mth old can ride in the RF Radian BUT my problem is she has shorter torso than the 16 mo so I would have to re-thread it for her then the next morning back for the 16 mo and back again! So should I just take out the Radian every day I do daycare pick up and use the 8 mo's Keyfit or should I get a totally new seat that the kids can share that has a no re-thread harness?! Any other options?

Do you have a center seat that you could install the KF in? I think you can change the harness height on the Radian when RF when installed, or maybe just get a Graco size4me.

I tried that and it worked but was really tight. Also the KF is really heavy with the 8 mo in it so lifting it into the center will be hard. I think I will just get a convertible with a no re-thread harness since once the 8 mo outgrows her KF I will HAVE to put her in the convertible. Has Graco fixed the issues with the harness adjuster when RF? I've head a ton of complaints about it so not sure about the S4M.

If you will need to buy a new convertible anyway, I'd recommend a TrueFit. It has no-rethread adjustment. We really like ours. I think that'll save your sanity when it comes to switching seats and save your back trying to lift kids into a center position. I hope that helps.

I completely forgot that the TrueFit has a no re-thread harness! Is the leg room good in it? I don't think that will be a problem with the 16 mo since he is on the small side and so is his sister and parents and down the road I could always use the Radian if I HAVE to. The TrueFit fits younger babies okay, right? I was thinking about getting a CA because a friend offered to sell me her since her son just outgrew it but I realized that the lowest harness setting is 10.5" and I think that will still be too high for the 8 mo. She is on the 2nd slot in the KF.

I love my true fit and am sad that I am about 1 pound away from having to get rid of it. DD has tons of leg room in it and she just turned 3. If the weight went up to 40 pounds, she'd still have tons of room height wise. We started using the true fit around 6 months but there are members on here that used it from birth, so I'd say it fits littles pretty well.

The shoulders can sometimes be a little wide, but I've used it for both of boys, oldest from birth, the second from a few months old. I have big kids, though, both of them are 90-95% for height and weight. But it usually comes with an infant insert, which helps the fit.
