Using Parkway without belt guide?

When I was on the phone with Britax today, I mentioned to them that their Parkway SGL is not compatible with my vehicle because it won't let the shoulder belt retract. I was just providing feedback in hopes they actually care about customer feedback. Then, the CS rep told me that I could use it without the belt guide. Is there any truth to that? She said it's even in the manual, but all I find is the opposite, instructions on using the belt guide and it listed over and over on the checklists to make sure you've remembered to do everything.

I hadn't heard that with the Britax but Diono approved that with the Monterrey as long as it provided a good fit.

I knew about the Monterey, but hadn't heard that about any Britax booster and it appears to contradict the manual.

Hmmm, was just coming here to check on this exact issue. It won't retract in my vehicle either (2007 CRV)

Am not sure what I want to do about it.....

I never found out if it was really okay and didn't end up doing it. I checked the fit (just out of curiosity) without the guide and it was not acceptable, so that was that. Sorry I can't be of more help.
