Still deciding...

I think I have my choices narrowed down slightly and would like to hear pro/cons for them or what you would suggest....having a HARD TIME CHOOSING!

DD will be one next month, 22lbs, 29.5 inches

She will be in a captains chair of a GMC Acadia (no middle ride available)
Secondary car used occasionally 2000 Chevy Silverado extended cab (will probably also ride outside so that my son will be able to easily buckle in his booster...when my son was younger we had him in the Britax Marathon in this vehicle and the seat fit fine).

I am looking at the following seats and would love to know how you rank them...I was considering using a less expensive seat for the truck since she only rides in that maybe once per week and for 5-10 mile trips at the most (for example I can't justify buying two Clek's).

Chicco NextFit (she is currently in the KeyFit30)
Clek Foonf
Graco mysize70
Diono Radian RXT
1st Years TrueFit SI

Any an all suggestions of saftey, ease of use, ease of install, etc would be appreciated!

They are all great choices and should fit well in your Acadia
The true fit has a 35lb rfing weight limit which can be a concern for some. It also takes up the most room.

the Foonf has a 43" height limit

it really comes down to personal preference. Have you been able to get your hands on all of the seats? If *I* personally had to go out and buy a convertible from your list it would either be the nextfit or the foonf in no particular order.

I have not gone to the stores yet to actually see them and mess with them (that is on the agenda for this week/weekend)!

I think I can remove the TrueFit from the list based on your response and I certainly appreciate your personal opinion on what you would buy!

Thank you!

Strictly from an I've owned these seats standpoint, of the ones on your list that I've owned:
NextFit
Foonf
Radian RXT
MySize70

We really like our NextFit. DS1 chooses it when given a choice. Easy LATCH install. Comfy seat. The Foonf is a good choice too. Not as cushy as the NextFit and it sits up tall, though may not be a problem in your Acadia. I have no issues with it installed behind my driver's seat in my Pilot. If I were to use it on the other side I may have issues with it. I had a Sunshine Kids Radian XTSL and it was an ok choice. I didn't mind the ratcheting harness and it installed fine in the vehicles we used it in. The MySize70 would be my last choice. I had 3 Size4Me's and could not for the life of me get those seats to tighten properly. My DH couldn't either. We tried all the tricks and tips here and from Graco and they just wouldn't do it. I had these back when the seats first came out and they may have fixed that and made them tighten better.

I've had the Foonf in the captain's chair of the Acadia both rf'ing and ff'ing and it fits well. Rf'ing the passenger seat can be all the way back and slightly reclined so you will have as much front seat space as you want. (I've driven with it installed behind the driver in my Saturn Outlook - which would have the same space there as your Acadia, and there is at least 4" clearance there with the position I drive in. With my husband it touches, but he puts the seat all the way back plus reclines it.)

Hope this helps - I have quite a few pictures of it in the 2013 Acadia captain chairs if you'd like to see them.
