Should I buy a Bubble Bum?

In the summer I'm going to the UK for a month. I'm bring my 2 kids aged 3 and 6. The six year old is big (around 48 inches and about 50# right now). I was going to order a lbb and have it sent to my friend who is picking us up. Now I have just noticed that the Bubble Bum is available there. It's more expensive than a lbb but easier to travel with. We will be using cars fairly infrequently but will need to lug all our gear across London a couple of times so lightweight/small is good.

If I got it, is it worth bringing back here? How close are we to it being available and would it be an identical product?

If I did get it, I would probably either give it away in the UK or bring it back here to keep in the car for emergencies. Worth it?

I think the OP is in Canada where the Bubble Bum isn't available if I'm remembering correctly.

Last I heard they were unable to test to Canadian standards due to a specific measurement that they couldn't take due to the bubblebum being inflatable. From the way the message was worded, it made it sound like it would never be available in Canada unless the standards were changed.

That being said - it sounds like for your situation it would be a great solution while you're travelling in the UK.
