secure kid or harmony defender

I just bought a 2009 toyota Venza since I have to turn in my sorento. I am loosing the third row but it is very roomy. Julianna has a proper belt fit with out a booster now, so we didn't need the third row anymore.

Fiona rides in a vivo, and Nolan in a frontier 85.. I want to get him something more narrow though to give a little extra room for every one in the 3 across. I don't want to spend more than 100 dollars.

Which one do you think is a better seat, and why? Does anyone know if one is more compatible with a Venza than the other?

We have an SK400 and I like it except that the headrest pushes DDs head forward. I was hoping to love it but since I don't its in my exes car which DD doesn't ride in often. I havent played with the defender but I'd probably go with it.

Nolan is going to be upset to part with his cow car seat, but I think he will get over it. Another factor is which might make the better booster eventually, he will be 5 in Aug and we start boostering at 6 for the most part. He is WILD, but he is going to out grow a 5 pt harness by then anyways they way he eats and grows lol (other than the frontier of course.) I will have to do a lot of booster training ahead of time, his one emergency trip in a vivo a couple weeks ago was a failed attempt as far as him sitting correctly.

I don't know about compatibility, but I'd go with a SecureKid. The headrest doesn't bother my DD (and no head slump), and it's sooo easy to install. The Defender coming in pieces, being incompatible in a lot of cars, and needing to order a longer crotch strap... That's all just stuff I'd rather not deal with, personally.
