Question Recommendations for Car Seat for Extended Cab Truck

We are looking for a car seat for my husband's 2009 GMC Sierra extended cab. It has a fold down bench seat and the back seat is very shallow (from back of rear seat to back of front seat). I can easily fit most seats in the middle but they extend into the front seat. I'm looking for suggestions for a convertible seat that I would fit on either outboard side so we may continue using it if we have a second child.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

How old and what size is your little one? Do you have a budget in mind?

Generally speaking, the Britax convertibles were my favorite in our extended cab. I used it in the center and passenger side.

She is 13 months about 20 lbs. So far she is long and lean. I am flexible on my budget, my greater priorities are safety and compatibility with the truck. We have a britax advocate 4.1 in my accord. I really like it and think it is a safe seat, it just doesn't fit well in the truck. Part of the issue I failed to mention earlier is both my husband and I are tall so we need the front seats farther back. I've been looking at clek's seats, the rear facing support bar thing seems daunting but it does appear on paper to be a seat with a smaller footprint. But it is big $$$$$$.
