Radian RXT installaion

We got the RXT for our 16 month old girls triplets and we have a 2012 Dodge grand caravan. When installing the seat in rear facing position am i required to use the top tether?

It's not required while Rearfacing, it can have a benefit during a crash. Trying to remember what it can reduce.... Dang it, drawing a blank.

It's an anti-rebound device, but it isn't required. If you do decide to use it, you'll have to make your own anchor point with the included D-ring (and if you don't use it, make sure to keep those D-rings in a safe place. They're easy to lose!)
