Thanks to our new server hardware, most members now have increased limits on uploads of photos and other types of attachments. Nearly all registered members can now upload attachments as much as twice the previous individual file size limits and double the total storage limit on all attachments. Limits on image size have also increased. Most members can now upload full HD images (1920x1080), though uploading such large pictures will quickly use up your total available space for all attachments. I do recommend that you keep your directly uploaded photos as small as possible in terms of image size and file size.
Large photos can and should be stored on a private photo storage website, such as flickr or photobucket. You can then use the IMG or image icon to insert them into your posts. Direct uploading of photos is intended only as a convenience for when you are in a hurry, and not as a substitute for storing galleries of large images at a website intended for this purpose.
I also ask that you periodically remove any images that are no longer needed or are obsolete. You are welcome to keep images as long as you like, of course.
Most members will also see increases in the number of saved private messages from 50% above previous limits to as much as double previous limits.
