Question Please help me pick two new seats!

Hello! I have two boys, a 4YO (34 lbs, 42" tall), who is in a Marathon right now, and an 11MO (19 1/2 lbs, 29 1/2" tall). The baby has exceeded the height limit on his infant seat, so I would like to put the Marathon in our second car and get two new seats for our RAV4.

I am having trouble deciding what to get! Aside from wanting safe, sturdy, reliable seats, I want EASY. Easy to install, easy to get the child in and out, easy to adjust the harness, wash the cover, etc. I have liked our Marathon a lot. The only criticisms are I would have liked more of a head cushion/support for when my son fell asleep, and it may not have had enough legroom RFing. I turned DS1 around at 27 mos only b/c his legs/feet kept falling asleep and he would cry when he got out of the car, even after short trips.

Does anyone have any recommendations for two new seats that fit the bill? My only other requirement is that I don't want to be eating the dash with the convertible seat installed behind the driver. Is it possible to find a convertible that provides good legroom for ERFing but that doesn't eat up the driver's leg space? I was thinking a Frontier 90 for the 4YO but I am not sure about which convertible for the baby.

TIA!

The Frontier is a good option for the 4yo. Other seats to consider would be the Graco Nautilus/Argo and the Evenflo Securekid.

For the baby, I think that the Diono Radian with the extra rear-facing boot would be a good option. You could get one with the headings to give more head cushion. It would give a lot more leg room - rear-facing now and forward-facing down the road. I really like how the Radian fit in our 2008 Rav4 in the forward-facing position. My kids had a lot more legroom in the Radian than in the Britax convertible in the forward-facing position, which surprised me.
