Parkway SGL vs Cambria

I ordered the Parkway SGL and the Cambria to compare the 2. The cambria seems more spacious and comfortable, but I like the Parkway better as I like the extra belt clip. But I am worried that they will outgrow the parkway quickly. They are fairly thin (54lbs, size 7 pants), but they don't see to have much room to grow in the hips between the armrest. If we keep the cambrias, then I have to put one in the 3rd row of the odyssey as I won't be able to fit 2 cambrias and a radian 3 across. (I have 2 in boosters and 1 in radian). I had bought the radians thinking that was the last seat we would need...gah, picking seats is stressful:D
Also I keep reading different things, does only the parkway allow to be in a car with headrest removed? My odyssey has headrests that stick out and will not allow for a flush fit.

Thanks,
Fenella

You don't mention how old your kids are.

But for comparison, my DD is 9.5yo and 67lb, 54" tall and has been using a Parkway since she turned 5. She's been using it backless for the last year+ but has no complaints for comfort with the space between the armrests. And we stopped using the SG clip sometime when she was 6.

As for the headrests/support behind the booster, I don't know if the Cambria requires it or not, I know the Monterey (Diono's previous booster) did require vehicle support behind the booster/headrest. The Parkway does not require vehicle support.

Thanks for your reply, my boys are almost 8, hope to keep them in the hbb for another year or so. I think I will keep the parkway, it's the most flexible for us. If they do outgrown the width, then we have some backless turbo boosters we can switch them into.

My kids are thin and we haven't had any fit issues by width for them. However, when a chunkier kid rode with us, she fit, but didn't look very comfortable.

Yes, the Parkway actually instructs you to remove the vehicle headrest if it fits better without (see manual). As far as I know, Diono never allows removal.

Are you familiar with the 5 step test? You don't give their heights, but if they're only in size 7 pants, you probably have more than a year left in boosters before they fit the adult seat belt properly, possibly years. On the good side, you'll get more for money out of those boosters. -- EDIT Sorry, I misread hbb as booster for another year, so you probably already know all this. Sorry for my incorrect assumption.
