It's been many years since I've had to consider a new car seat, but we've got a surprise new baby on the way. I was really happy with the Graco extend2fit for my now 7 and 9 year olds, it was easy to use and install, and having big babies/toddlers, I liked the higher rf weight limit. Is that still a decent seat, or are there better ones available now that are still comfy and easy but maybe not so huge? Both my 7 and 9 year olds are still in hbb, but my 3 other kids are adult sized teenagers - so I don't have to figure puzzling seats together anymore but do have to consider hip/shoulder space for my big kids.
I currently drive a 7-seat Expedition max, and it's possible we'll stick with that (my oldest leaves for college a couple weeks after baby is due) so baby would be in one of the second row captains chairs. If we change vehicles it will be to an 8-seat Expedition max and baby would be second row center (ideally) or outboard if having him/her center wouldn't allow the outboard seats to flip forward to access to the third row.
I appreciate any suggestions!
