I need a new car seat for my 6.5 year old. I can't decide what to do. He is happily harnessed and is 46 inches and 40 pounds. Do I get him a Frontier that I could use as a booster later? Or just go for a Parkway? I drive a 2004 Sienna now if that matters at all.
He doesn't fall asleep in the car ever, but is such a ball of energy that he is very squirmy and always moving about. So I am all for keeping him harnessed, especially since he doesn't mind it....but wonder if that is money well spent and how the Frontier performs as a booster down the road. I had a Frontier in my car as a booster awhile back but the seatbelt was always locking when it was in the both driver and passenger side captains chairs (one seat belt comes out of the seat, so I think t was a weird angle there). Not sure what the problem was on the passenger side.
Any thoughts?
