New carseat for toddler

My Britax Marathon expires this fall. My dd will be just 2 years old, is 26lbs and 32 inches tall. Having kept my older 2 children RFing until they were 2.5 years, and now with all the new seats that RF for much longer, a big part of me wants to buy a new seat that she can RF in. But, I really don't know what seat would be best. I love Britax seats, but I have found that the roundabout and marathon become uncomfortable for my kids around 3.5 - 4 years (because the depth of the seat). Did this change with the newer models? Or are there other seats that are just as amazing as Britax (easy to install, comfortable for my kids, no twist belts) that I should look at?

I also have an older Sunshine kids Radian XT - I could rear face this seat, but it does say there is a 32" rear facing limit on it (I have always followed the 1" from the top of the seat) Could I still go with that rule here? Or would she need to be FF if I put her into this seat?

I should add that I drive a 2009 Toyota Sienna 8 passenger van - my dd is in the middle row, middle chair. Oh, and we have no plans to have more kids, so I'd rather buy a seat that she can use for awhile.

Thank you,
Jody

I would be really tempted to buy a MyRide for $135 through amazon.ca and use it rear facing until its outgrown. From there you could either use it ff'ing or switch back to your Radian to use ff'ing, assuming it has enough lifespan left in it.

The MyRide is just such a nice little seat. It's easy to install, it's lightweight, it has creature comforts like decent padding and cup holders, good legroom for rf'ing toddlers, and you can't beat the sale price right now.

Just an idea.. :)

:yeahthat: or you can get the True Fit for a bit more ($176 I think it was) from Amazon.ca. I was very tempted to do TF!
