Hello! We are looking for a second car, and are trying to find something other than another minivan (have a 2015 Honda Odyssey).
We have four children:
*almost 5yo, 47.5in, 50lbs
*2x 3yo, 37in, 30lbs (twins)
*13mo, 33in, 23lbs
In our minivan, our oldest is in a Britax Frontier and the baby in a Clek Fllo in the second row, and our twins are in Clek Fllo's in the third row. Ideally, we'd love to keep the twins in the third row so it'd be easier for our oldest to get in and out for car pool line, and to have easy access to baby in second row. Other car sears we have are IMMIGO's x2 and Britax Marathon. We can get other seats if it'd help our situation.
Since we already have big people mover, we would like our second car to fit everyone in car seats, but be as small as possible, sporty, a little luxury, and have some tech safety features. Our current second car is a 2015 Volvo XC70 and it is the perfect size, but are finally cracking and need two cars that can hall any combo of kids. Our first pick is the Volvo XC90 (2018 or so), but cannot figure out how we could fit our almost 5yo in a high back booster (Britax Frontier) or something similar in the third row. Or, how we would access the third row with the second row filled. Mercedes-Benz's E Class wagons have rear facing jump seats, but I do not think they have LATCH system. Tesla is out of price range. Audi Q7 would work, but access to 3rd row was a nightmare when we tried it with our seats. VW Atlas has tethers w/o lower anchors and we could use seat belts, but it feels really big to us and we have a very small driveway to have two big vehicles. Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, etc also feel too big. The Car Seat Lady's 3rd row with LATCH system spread sheets have been down for weeks and I'm lost without them!
Again, XC90 is our first choice, but we don't know how to make it work. Help please! Thank you!!
