Question Need seat recommendations

I am looking to purchase two carseats/boosters and could use some suggestions/advice . . .

Dd#1 is 7 and about 55 lbs and average height. Currently uses high back Greco booster - looking for something safer/more comfortable. We frequently go on long car trips and DD falls asleep in car.

DD#2 will be 5 and is about 37 lbs and average height. Currently in marathon but the seat has seen better days and I think she will outgrow it shortly. She is very wiggly and does not stay till very often!

Two of the same seat if possible would make my life easier (no fighting). Is DD#1 to big for a 5 pt. harness? Possibly two frontier ( not sure which model)?

I think the nautilus would be a good option... You could keep both harnessed for a while and switch dd1 over to the booster at some point. Most states (and booster manufacturers) require 40 lbs for a booster seat so you'll have to wait for a growth spurt to booster train DD2...

Some kids have head slump sleeping in the nautilus but some don't. Britax seats may be over kill for your kids especially the younger one since they're average to small but they are wonderful seats especially the new 90 series. You could also look at the recaro prosports. They aren't as tall as the britax but I think they would last your DDs a long time.

You can have them sit cross legged against a wall and measure up to their shoulders to get torso heights. The Nautilus, ProSport, Evenflo SecureKids, and Harmony Defender all have around 18" top harness slots. The Frontiers have 20-20.5" top slots. I really like our FR85s for our older kids. I got them when they were 6 and 4. They've been great harnessed and now DD is almost 8 and sometimes uses it as a booster.
