Lysol wipes and carseat

My DH just used Lysol wipes on the base of my G4 Britax and the latch connectors. He says he didn't touch any harness parts. Is that ok?

Yes, fine, they are mild enough that they don't hurt your skin, and aren't known as a plastic melting agent (in contrast, never put super glue on the headrest EPS/EPP foam, it melts immediately). I use them on the interior of my car all the time, no problems on that plastic/leather, either.
Wouldn't it be nice if all these carseat makers would just give us a list of approved cleaning agents, instead of the near-meaningless 'mild' soap recommendation?

Love this idea! Thank you for reminding me to clean some of the carseat parts. They only gets a little dusty, maybe. Nothing dirty or anything. But hey, dust is unsightly especially on black plastic.

I got the whole car vacuumed and told the place DON'T TOUCH MY CARSEATS (in a polite way). I didn't want anything strange to happen to them, or anything unlatched, etc.

Yes, yes it would!!!!!

ETA: I should have added that I agree with jools response.

And FYI, don't post anywhere on FB that anything with harness/LATCH webbing was cleaned with anything but baby wipes. You'll be tarred and feathered and told to buy a new seat. Water is the root of all evil, and you can just live with vomit smell, it's ok. End of rant, sorry. LOL

Oy, I know, I've seen how those threads go... you'd think carseats are made with Fruit by the Foot harnesses, hard candy shells, and cotton candy padding. They melt at the mere mention of water
