Looking for similar fit infant seat.

I used the Graco safe seat with my last child and he was able to stay in it for a wonderful long time. They no longer make that seat so now to find a similar size seat. I have been looking at the Combi shuttle the goes to 35lbs and 33 in. I am wondering if this seat is a good match to the large Graco safe seat? I would like to keep them in it as long as possible for rear facing time and to keep baby asleep if need to take out of the car.

Graco actually makes a seat that lasts even longer than the SafeSeat1 called the SnugRide Click Connect40. You could also look at the SnugRide35. They are very long-lasting infant seats.

There is also the brand new Kiddy Evolution Pro that will last to 35 pounds and/or 37 inches vs 40 pounds and/or 35 inches for the Graco Click Connect 40, and considering most babies outgrow the infant seat by height rather then weight it might be an option for you. It is expensive tho at $300 for the Kiddy Evolution Pro.
