Question Looking for a harnessed booster...

Hi all, and thank you for your help. I am starting my search for the next car seat for my 3yo. We will be moving DS2 into his convertible seats in 3-4 months, so I was planning to buy a harnessed booster (obviously not to use in booster mode for a very long time). He is 29# (25th%) and 36" (30th%). I drive a 2006 Toyota RAV4, and I have a budget of <$250.

Hi, there are a number of nice seats well under your budget. Take a look at the Evenflo Securekid, Graco Nautilus, Graco Argos, or (this is a nice seat but probably overkill for your situation) the Britax Frontier.

Since you have a child to pass it down to, I would look at the more expensive ones. My 4.5 yr old loves his Evenflo Secure Kid. I think it's great, but the buckles on it and the Graco combo seats are a real now. I'd look at the Recaro ProSport (and it's newest one, if it comes down in price) and the Britax Frontier 85. Your oldest won't ever need the additional height that the Frontier offers, but it's a very comfortable seat that has easy to use buckles. If you want a lighter weight seat that you will be moving around frequently, I'd look at the Evenflo Maestro and the Evenflo Secure Kid 300 or 400 (easier to use Latch buckles).
