My kids also refused to sit in the Dora/Spongebob seats! Normally they're pretty agreeable to sitting in seats, but those? No way! In fact, dd took one and declared them "barfalicious."

I actually almost hit a car the other day because I saw one of those in the back seat of a parked car and was so shocked. Thankfully I came out of the terrified trance when I did!

Aside from the creepiness it "looks" like a well designed seat... Does anyone know about the company or reputation?

I think they are neat. If they make them with higher harness slots we might look at getting one.

The company seemed to listen to what people said here. Look at the comments on June 22 on their FB page. They are basically telling a mom to keep her child RF instead of buying their seat. I like this company.

I still have at least a year maybe two of rf for my toddler but I might consider it as a booster. It is listed as a best bet and even though my dd only watches a few mins of tv before bed she is starting to like Dora. By the way in the descriptions I've seen (while the weight expectations are way off) it does list that it's for kids 4-8 years old. I either saw that on Walmart.com or amazon. Anyone know the expiration on these?

To be fair, if it came in Perry the Platypus, I bet ds would have gotten in it...

Hopefully they never come out with Perry. Otherwise some *certain children* might be begging for one and I don't really need a platypus in my back seat!

By the time your DD is ready for a booster, she likely will have outgrown the Dora stage. Most kids are into Dora between ages 2-4, but I don't know many (of course there are some) kids over the age of 4 who are still into Dora.

Yeah I said might... She's not even 2 til this fall do itd be three years til I'd consider a booster for a part time vehicle use. She will be moving to a radian next year probably and passing her seat to a future sibling so we'll hopefully be harnessed for a while...
