It has also been tagged on Amazon as convertible... I just put in "convertible car seat" onto the app, and the very first seat to pop up was the Nauti.

That could be a big part of the problem. I wonder if it is listed in a stock catalog somewhere as a convertible and stores are just listing it as such.

I see this over, and over, and over again. In fact, a good friend bought one for her DD and sent me a message asking me when she could move her baby into it, she was confused about how to install it rear-facing. We went back and forth a few times, and in the end, they just put her in it forward facing a 1 & 20 because they had already bought the seat and opened it, and couldn't afford another one. We've given out a fair number of convertibles to people at seat checks who came in with a child overgrown in their infant seat and a Nauti for the next seat. And 100% of those people have sited the labeling of it as a "3 in 1" as the reason for the confusion. I do think it is incumbent on Graco to do something about this. It's SOOOO confusing for parents.
