Is the Maxi Cosi Pria worth it without Tinyfit?

By the time DD is done with the Keyfit, she will very near 22 lbs. The infant seat seems to be a big part of the appeal - would you recommend it if not starting off with a newborn? Or am I paying for a convenience I won't use? DD sat in it at BBB yesterday and seemed to really like it.

If you like it then I don't see a reason not to buy it. And unless you are intent on carrying her in the Keyfit until it's outgrown, there's no reason you can't move her to the Pria as soon as you buy it.

Everyone I've talked to that has one really does love it, even for older kids. It is easier to install than most Dorel convertibles, and has a nice fit for toddlers and up in addition to newborns. It'll last RF easily to around 3 or more, and then makes a good long lasting FF seat as well. So if you like it, there's no reason not to buy it just because you won't need the Tiny Fit by the time you start using it.

I wish we could've kept it, but my daughters head to shoulder height made it veryclose to a bad fit. Her head was right at the top, and inching the harness/head rest up made it too high. My dd has a large head + long neck.

And I bought it for a 2.5 yo!
