So due to her and her little sister getting moved to the back seat of her moms Grand Caravan S. is going to be boostered full time starting next week. L. rides in a Graco Nautilus, and needs the top tether so she is legal, she also suffers from severe motion sickness so there is no way to rear face her again, she only weighs in at 28 pounds. I am thinking that maybe I would purchase her a new booster seat. She is currently in a graco Nautilus Harnessed. She weighs in at 41 pounds and 39 inches tall roughly, she hasn't been measured in a while, she will turn five on Christmas Eve. Her mom got a new job and has to move the girls into the back row, she will be transporting special need adults in her van for work, and is going to need to be able to use the middle row for them. Any ideas, I was looking at the Maxi-Cosi Rodi xr, and the Britax booster seats, or just keeping her in the nautilus in booster mode? Or are there any other good Canadian boosters for someone that size.

My top booster picks are the Sunshine Kids Monterey and the Britax Parkway SG. I'd see which fit the child better and get that one.

Just checking are you talking booster seats for both? or just the 41lbs one and the one that is 28lbs will remain in a Nautilus?

No, not for both, L. will remain harnessed for a long time. At least until six, if she keeps her height and weight at the same rate. When she was one she weighed 25 pounds, and now at 3 and a half she weighs 28 pounds and stands ruffly 34 inches tall! she is just a squirt.

For a child who just turned five, my vote would be for the Britax Parkway SG. It's almost like the best of both worlds in between harnessing and boostering because it has the crotch strap to prevent submarining under the lap belt.

This is what I was thinking. I was wandering if the crotch strap is able to be used for the life of the car seat, or does it have a weight limit. I like the looks of the car seat, and also the ratings. Her mom was hoping to keep her harnessed at least until June, when she is done kindergarten, but needs to move her to the booster seat.
