Help with carseats for 2013 Sienna 8 pass.

Just bought a new minivan and found that my current carseats won't work where I want them. I want both carseats in the middle row so I need to get a carseat on that middle seat, middle row. We have 4 kids- 16, 13, 2.5 (about 30 lbs rear facing in a radian r100) and a newborn in a snugride.

I wanted to keep her rear-facing as long as possible but I really don't want to be climbing in the back row every day. The snugride definitely does not work in the middle so I'm looking at buying another seat for the 2 yr old.

Does anyone know what works in that stupid middle spot?
Thanks!

Hi! Unfortunately, you can't get a carseat in that spot. The only seat that fits is one backless booster, the Cosco Topside. How about putting the 2.5yo and the infant in the two captains chairs and having the big kids sit in the back?

I'm interested in where this information was found? I've not been told of any service bulletins that state seats cannot be installed there and we had a successful install in my friend's with a size4me70. It was not easy, but it was doable.

When I went through my search, the Size4Me70 wasn't out yet, so I guess you have your answer. After searching, trying many seats, and starting threads on here, we had come to the conclusion that since that middle seat sits lower than the captains chairs, you can't check for movement, and the carseat is essentially wedged in, it is therefore not acceptable. I didn't even realize the S4M's base was so much skinnier than the MR. Glad to know there is an option now.
