HELP Cybex Aton 2 Wiggles in Base!!!!!!

I have been trying to get a response form Cybex safety techs for SIX days now after they requested a video of my instal and concern.

Anyone else have a Cybex Aton? Does the car seat wiggle/have some give when it's installed in the base? I am 100% on the base instal and that the car seat itself is in the proper position and indicating it's locked. It just seems to wiggle too much. I'm having a baby ANY DAY now.

With the last baby we had a Chicco Key Fit and it didn't move once in the base.

Anyone have any experience?? I'm getting really ticked off at the customer service I'm receiving.

Where are you holding the seat when wiggling it, and in what direction(s) does it move? I do not have an answer, but am trying to bump the post so others might see it who know more!

Yes, it does (or at least the original Aton does) and it is normal, per Regal Lager (the U.S. distributor). I was very unnerved by that (especially since the original Aton made a metal-on-metal rattle when wiggling--not sure if the new ones do that too?) but they assured me it was safe and the wiggling would reduce when the baby was actually in the seat. I think my husband actually got a bag of flour and stuck it in there to test that theory. ;) At any rate, in the end they were right and it was not a problem--we are almost in our fifth month of using it for baby #2 now! Please do call them again if you don't hear back soon--I actually just emailed them last Friday about getting a replacement piece for our seat and only got a response back this morning, so I suspect they were off for the holiday weekend and are catching up now. We've contacted them for several things over the years (including the wiggling, back before our first child was born!) and they have always been very responsive and helpful in addressing any problems. Congrats on the coming baby!

Hi there. Yes, the Atons wiggle on the base. I reviewed the Aton and also the Aton Q and both did it. As long as your installation is solid and according to the instructions, and you have the seat fully engaged in the locking mechanism when you set it on the base, it's fine.

Mine wiggled too.
None of my other seats did, so yes, it really unnerved me, too.

It appears to be normal. But, one would not know that!
