Help! Child is loosening harness

Our 4 year old rides in a britax boulevard clicktight. She has recently figured out how to stick her finger down the "tunnel", depress the button, and loosen her own harness.

Ideas? I'm very surprised her fingers are long enough for this, but it has happened several times now. She is quite tall for her age - the size of an average 5 or 6yo, so perhaps that is part of it.

What to do? Clearly not safe, and she is too young to be dependable if I simply ask her not to do it.

I would try explaining that the harness needs to be snug as a hug to keep her safe. My LO is nearly 4, and she can understand that she needs to be safe in her seat like we are safe in our seat belts. She is also much more likely to comply if we give her a good reason. Of course, all kids are different and this might not work for you, but it’s worth a shot.
