Frontier 85 for a 29lb 33 month old?

Has anyone used the Frontier 85 for a toddler rather than an older child?

DD is already FF in a Boulevard that expired recently and our tax return is buying a new seat. (I wish we hadn't needed to wait :( ) I would rather not buy her a convertible since we aren't going to RF and en have to buy another when she hits the limit. I know it says 25lb, but the idea seems so strange so I thought I would ask if anyone has done it.

P.S. She would throw a royal fit if. We turned her back around and we are comfortable with her height and weight being FF. I am often out on my own with my two littles and I need her to be able to climb into her seat on her own. (Obviously with me buckling her after DS is set to go) Please no flaming me for FF. I'm nice, don't throw rocks. :p

I would think she would fit fine now and untill she is done with needing a carseat/booster. It would be pretty easy to climb into compared to a convertable seat. My #2 has sat in her sisters seat while it was in the house when she was about 25 or so lbs and I think she fit fine. It's your choice which direction your child faces.(I take things to the extreme... my 6yr old is still RF : )

Thank you! I just needed some confirmation. :) I am thankful that DS' carseat should last another 6.5 years and hopefully he will ERF. The word "booster" with my 2.5 year old just sounds so odd! Lol But leave it to britax to make a safe carseat that will last for.ev.er. :D

Just wanted to let you know that we got our DD a Frontier for her 4th birthday. She weighs 28 pounds and *really* wants to face forward. So, we told her that she can switch for her birthday. We recently bought a 2nd car, so we needed a new seat anyways. DD loves the Frontier - she is very comfortable in it and everyone is happy. :)

I once put a 2.5, 28ish lb child in a Frontier 85... Carpooling situation, didn't want to move seats and kid was used to FF as Mom doesn't care about carseat safety.

It fit her fine, and she was comfortable... although she looked really really tiny in it.

So if the Frontier is what you want, go for it!
