Foot placement when using cruise control

I have finally figured out how to work cruise control!!! I am not sure where to put my foot while using it. I would want it where I could quickly step on the brake if needed. I could rest it on the gas pedal, which is okay, or on the brake, but that is higher and expends more energy, or just put it flat-footed on the floor in front of the brake?

On the floor would be my vote because contacting either pedal can deactivate the cruise control and defeat the purpose of using it.

I rest mine on the gas pedal because it doesnt deactivate my cruise control if I DO push it and my truck is older so the pedal needs a LOT more pressure on it than newer cars to do anything.
I drive a lot of brand new cars and you barely touch the pedal at any time, quite annoying to me because of what Im used to.

Wait, you mean you're supposed to stay in the driver's seat when you're using cruise control? I didn't see that in my manual.







I usually just rest my foot on the floor.
