Dayquil ad

Is there anyway to cause ads NOT to just start playing and overwrite what else you are listening to

The Dayquil ad doesn't even seem to have a pause or stop button!

Can you provide a screenshot of it please and confirm that it didn't start because you hovered your mouse over it for too long?

I am looking for it now to see if it happens to me as well and then will check to see if it is against the terms for the advertising network. My impression was that videos and such required a mouseover for a certain time for them to start playing or to expand etc.

Maybe... I haven't even seen the ad show up again to try it out since I complained I certainly didn't hover over it on purpose!

I have inadvertently left my cursor over an ad from time to time, only to have a pop-up video/audio appear a few seconds later. I restrict pop-up ads at Car-Seat.Org, but unfortunately the mouse-over ones don't count as pop-ups according to the ad networks and appear with all the others:-( There's no way to block them as a category, unfortunately. But if one can be repeatedly shown to pop-up or start a video without a mouse-over or click, then I will certainly report it to the ad network.

As a side note, I have noticed a few pop ups recently that occurred when I clicked a link to a sub forum or post. I believe I have determined that those were actually coming from a website that was open in another tab, but one that wasn't being viewed a the time.

I didn't realize this was possible, but I was able to verify that one of the ad networks on the pop up was one that isn't even used at Car-Seat.Org.
