Question convertible rear facing for BMW 328i?

I have a 7 month old currently in a chicco key fit 30. I'm looking to move up to a convertible in the next couple of months due to her rapidly approaching the height limit. She's 21lb and a little over 28" now, and consistently in 95-99th percentile height and weight. I think there's a good chance the chicco won't last me until 1 year.

The problem is I have a BMW 328 and there isn't a ton of room in the backseat. I want the option of placing it on either side seat eventually (for when we have a second child) but want to rear face until 2 minimum. That may or may not overlap with the second baby.

I've gone to BMW forums for reference on what will fit and there's not much out there on what convertibles will rear face well, they all seem to jump into forward ASAP. I've just started looking but I'm considering the Britax Marathon 70-G3 and the Recaro Pro Ride. I can probably try out the marathon in my car at babies r us but they don't have any Recaro. I was thinking since Recaro is German made it may fit better in a German car, and I like the look which is a bonus but obviously not top priority. I've also heard both of these seats get outgrown quickly too. I've also read the Recaros pass heftier safety testing in Europe than the Britax's sold in America but that didn't come from a reliable source so I don't want to rely on that alone.

So basically I'd appreciate advice on what convertible will fit my bmw rear facing in both middle and side seats and would fit my 99th percentile baby girl safely and comfortably rear facing until 2 and hopefully get me through forward facing until I can switch to a booster. And won't require the passenger seat to be moved so far forward that it isn't safe for an adult to ride in front. Thanks!!

Have you considered the Foonf? Maybe you have a local retailer that can test fit it for you?

I know this is an old message but I am wondering if you ever received any feedback on your convertible car seat for your 328. I also have a 328 and am looking at the Britax Boulevard and the Recaro ProRide. I would love to know what you tried and how it worked out.

Thanks.
