Question car seat fit

I have a Volvo S60. I was given an Eddie Bauer XRS 65 car seat. It is too difficult to get the car seat tight enough in the rear facing position. I am getting an Audi Q5 in about a month. Will the car seat fit the Audi better? OR is the Eddie Bauer car seat a difficult one to tighten and I need to exchange it for a different car seat?

Are you using seatbelt or LATCH?

I don't know the specific answer to your question, but you might try LATCH instead if you are using the seat belt, or the seat belt if you are using LATCH. I'm not familiar enough with this seat to tell you exactly how, but usually you can tighten a seat like that from inside the belt path instead of pulling up or out on the outside of the seat. This will give you better leverage for a good pull.
