Britax Parkway SGL Fit Check

DS is 5.5/ 43 lbs/ 43 inches and rides full time in a harnessed Frontier 85.

I'm carrying a high risk pregnancy, and my BFF, who could come get DS in the event of an emergency, is not capable of installing the Frontier 85 correctly.

This seat would only be used in an emergency, not as a regular ride.

We had him try a PSGL at BuyBuyBaby yesterday. He was able to buckle and clip the SG himself.

We had him try the Turbobooster as well, but the seatbelt was on his belly in the Turbobooster.

Boosters can fit completely different in the car. I would try it in there first. If the belt doesn't retract right, it wouldn't be good for him at all. Could she install something like the SureRide that could be used for the baby later?

I don't think she'd be able to install any harnessed seat correctly using the seatbelt. He is over the weight limit for LATCH.

I think it looks good, but I would try it in her car to be sure it works fine in there. He might need the headrest raised a notch soon.

I think it looks fine as long as he sits nicely. At 5.5 I would think he could do it for short rides. I agree with pp it's best to try it in her car, but it looks promising.
