Britax lockoff

Anyone else have trouble with a Britax seat, installed with the lockoffs, loosening over time? I can get a rock solid install, but then the seat loosens.

I've never had that problem but I lock the seatbelt after installing the seat so my kid doesn't play with it. Maybe that helps.

I had a G2 Boulevard 70 CS installed RF over the hump in the middle of my Subaru Forester for over 2 years. I have had all sorts of problems with the Foonf lockoffs on 3 different seats in that spot since it puts a lot of pressure on the lockoffs. I never had the BLVD loosen in any way at all. I also locked the seat belt.

I have an MA70 installed in DH's car with a FF lockoff and never have had it loosen. Are you having the issue RF'ing or FF'ing? What vehicle and in what seating position?

So about my late reply - outboard back seat in Subaru Legacy. RFing. It's a perfect latch install, but with the new latch rules, I'm just more comfortable switching to seatbelt installs...

So it's not the middle hump causing it to loosen over time.
I can agree with your sentiment on the LATCH weight limit; how much does LO weigh? For example, the MA70 and Boulevard is 19 lbs so you'd have until 29 lbs to be at 48 combined. If you are within those limitations definitely install with the lower anchors for now while you are getting the lockoff thing figured out. Or you can switch the belt to a locking mode for install.
This may be a dumb question but are you opening up both sides of the lockoff when installing?
