Britax Frontier Questions

Hi first post here,
My question is if the Frontier 90 is identical to the Frontier G1.1 Clicktight or is it just a rebrand?
Also, what are some of the major differences between the Frontier 85 and the Frontier 90?

Hi first post here, My question is if the Frontier 90 is identical to the Frontier G1.1 Clicktight or is it just a rebrand? Also, what are some of the major differences between the Frontier 85 and the Frontier 90?

The g1.1 has a redesigned booster belt path that makes the belt for more kids. The original frontier click tight has the option of using the safeguard clip that was originally made for the parkway to help make the lap belt for better. Otherwise, they are identical.

Differences between the 85 and 90 are much greater.

85 has a smaller headrest and while it has a no rethread harness, the harness is adjuster from the rear . The 90 ha a taller headrest and the harness is adjusted using a lever at the top of the headrest and can be done from the front without installing the seat.

The 90 has click tight for seatbelt install which makes the majority of installations take about 30 seconds. It is super simple. The 85 has a regular installation with belt, as well as an alternative of using the log belt path, which also makes it relatively simple to get a good install since there are 2 approved methods.

I think the 90 has a slightly taller harness height and booster but I may have that backwards.

I have both and really like both of them. I prefer the install of the 90 but like the smaller headrest of the 85. Both are great seats.

Hi there and welcome :)

I don't own a Frontier 90 but I do own a Frontier 85. The biggest difference I would note is the ease of installation of the Frontier 90 with the click tight feature.
