Booster seat recommendations?

Hi there,

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive, lightweight HBB to be used by our 5 yo DD as a very occasional secondary seat (the odd time here and there when she will be picked up from school or the bus stop by Grandma or Grandpa)? We'd like to buy it quite soon so it needs to be something readily available here in stores in Edmonton.

We have never used a booster seat before so this is sort of a new venture for us. Her primary seat is, and will remain, a True Fit in our Honda Odyssey.

Assuming your dd is over 40lbs and 40", then the Graco Turbobooster is a booster that is relatively inexpensive and tends to give a good seatbelt fit in most vehicles.

Some people complain about the back falling off when carrying it, but provided you support both pieces when you move it, I've never had difficulty with it. (And most boosters that convert from high back to backless will have this same kind of thing if you don't support both pieces when carrying them, so I don't find it to be anything worth worrying about - I just mention it since I've heard people complain about it before.)

Great, thank you! I will look around for one of those. And yes, she's about 45" and about 44 lbs.
