My son (5yrs) will be going with me and my dad on a camping trip. Normally, if I take my son in the truck, he sits in his Britax marathon in the front seat. Now that I will have my dad in the front seat when we will be driving on forest roads (some 2 track, some all-weather dirt roads), I don't know what I can do to have my son in the back seat. I have a booster with a back, but the seat in the back is too shallow for the booster to be very stable. It fits, and the seat belt is the 3 point shoulder type. It really is the stability of the base that is the major problem.
Basically, on the highway, my son will be in the britax and my dad will be in his RV. But offroad, we will all three be in the truck (if I can figure out how to get him in there safely). Is there any booster that might work for this situation?
Any advice would be appreciated! btw, my son is 48" tall and about 45 lbs.
