Booster seat in 2014 Escape?

Hi! I am having a terrible time finding a booster seat to fit in the back seat (side) of a 2014 Escape. I have a Britax Frontier 85 and a Graco Turbo Booster (16 inches wide) and both are too wide to easily work the seatbelt buckle. I have to go around the other side of the car, reach across and force it in to get it to connect. Does anyone have a recommendation for a narrower seat that works in an Escape? I would prefer one with a back (detachable is fine) so that I can adjust it easily for different kiddos. Thank you!!

Good luck! my mom has a 2010 I think. We have no problem with HBB (parkway and affix both worked) but can't find a LBB that is flush against either of our booster riders shoulder

Bummer! Hopefully someone here will have an answer for both of us then! It's not like the Escape is that small or uncommon - I would have thought that carseat manufacturers would have come up with something narrower for vehicles like that. Thanks for the info!

Yeah...the new Fords have a more comfortable seat for adults, but their seatbelt fasteners are too stiff and buried too close to the hip points that make using a buckle on any of the car seats virtually impossible.

I have a 2014 Ford Fusion (same back seats). I did find that my daughter could buckle herself when she was behind the driver easier than when she was on the passenger side. The two buckles together on the passenger side made it tough to do on her own, so I always would have to reach across her to buckle her...every...single...time. She has to be on that side because of car rider at school. It's annoying, but that's the only way it works in my car. We use a Graco Turbobooster as well.

That is exactly the problem - too stiff and buried. We have finally been able to wiggle her seat just right to expose the buckle, but the the booster is up on the outside of the seat a bit. It is in the spot behind the driver. Thinking about trying a BubbleBum - seems like the only smaller option out there!

Thanks for the info!
