Booster reccs for petite DD

After putting DD in a Harmony folding travel booster part time this past December, I've decided to go ahead and move her to full time. She loves the booster and sits super well!

She is 5yo, 37 lbs, and around 42".

I love the Harmony booster as a part time in grandma's van, but I do not want it full time. I'd like a seat with LATCH. I also want something maybe a little more innovative with cool safety features:) The harmony is a little too bare bones for every day use. I also need the seat to be fairly shallow, comes in cool colors, doesn't require headrest, and preferably turns into a LBB. $ is not a concern.

How about the Graco Affix?

Or the Parkway SGL? The Parkway doesn't turn into a backless though as far as I know.

The Parkway does turn into a backless booster, but it has a 40 lb. minimum weight, even for high back mode.

OP, when did she turn 5? What seat is she in now ( other than the folding booster)? She's pretty small. If she's newly 5 and you have a harnessed seat that still fits, I'd be inclined to keep her harnessed for a little while yet.

My first feeling is if she has a harnessed seat that still fits, please consider leaving her a little while longer. Mainly b/c a lot of 5 year olds aren't wiggly the first few times they ride in a booster, esp on shorter rides, but b/c as they figure it all out they *get* wiggly. And you still have to manage a long trip yet, which really changes things. ;) Also, when she's just a smidge bigger, she'll fit in the booster seats that have the options you want better.
I wouldn't give a single thought, not one second, to whether a booster becomes backless or not. A backless booster is cheap, cheap, cheap!!! And often times, when a child is ready to move to a backless (ie too big for their high back booster usually), the bottom of it tends to be a little more shallow than a dedicated backless booster. Therefore, a plain backless may be more comfortable and offer a larger child more leg support.

Once she weighs 40 lbs, the Britax Parkway SGL meets your needs pretty well, but it's not backless and it sometimes doesn't keep the shoulder belt on narrow kids very well. Also, the Graco mentioned has latch and fits tiny kids well. The new version of the Recaro Probooster has latch and cup holders and comes in loads of fun colors. I'd definitely look into it. http://recaropromotion.com/performanceBooster.html

At this point in time, my bet is that the Harmony will fit her better than almost any other high back booster out there. A Graco Turbo high back will fit about the same. If you are determined to booster her right now full time, I'd consider using the Harmony for a bit, until she's a little larger. And it never hurts to have an extra booster laying around. She's reaching the age of driving friends around on occasion, too. :)
