booster headrest touching side?

I have a three across in a 2007 CRV. DD is in a Parkway SGL behind driver and she is super tall for her age (5.5 years old and 51-ish"). The headrest of the Parkway ever so lightly touches the side of the of the car where the side curtain airbag is.

Is this allowed? Is this dangerous?

If it's not ok, what do I do?

guess I'll assume it's ok since no one has jumped in and stated "forbidden".

I really don't know - and I don't know that I've ever seen this question asked before. I think I would ask both Britax and your vehicle manufacturer. I know some vehicles have pretty specific prohibitions about leaning on the door or being out of position where there are side airbags but this question is so specific I wouldn't assume it's okay.

If you do get a response from either or both of them please come back and update so we have a reference if it ever comes up again?

Sadly I think I'm going to have to put her in a NBB full-time sooner rather than later. There is just no head room for the boosters to go up that tall in my car. And I don't have a small car!

Did you talk to the manufacturers? I'd also try it in the other side of the car if you can. You may think it is the same, but a millimeter matters.
