Question Best convertible seat for Chevy Traverse w/ captains chairs

Hi,
I don't know much about car seats. I'm hoping to find out the best seat for my son after he outgrows our SnugRide. We bought a MyRide65 at Target because it was on clearance, will this work? I'm not set on using this seat, it can easily be returned. Willing to pay for one of the Britax models if it's best for the captains chairs in my Traverse. Thanks for your help as I'm totally clueless!

I don't have any experience with that particular vehicle, but the MyRide is a good choice that will allow your son to stay rear facing for the next couple years (we like to see kids stay rear facing until a minimum of age 2, hopefully closer to 3-4) and is generally a seat that is easy to install properly in most vehicles.

The Britax seats are nice, but absolutely not any safer than the MyRide or any other seat. They have a smaller interior that means kids usually outgrow them RF before some other seats, and have limited leg room so they're not always my first choice but they're not bad seats either.

The Evenflo Triumph or Momentum, First Years True Fit, Maxi Cosi Pria, Safety 1st Complete Air and Diono Radian are all good choices as well, you can read more detailed reviews on the blog and let us know if you have more questions. http://carseatblog.com/carseatblogcoms-recommended-car-seats/
